Clinic Letters

Traditional methods of writing clinic letters suffer from problems of efficiency and organization. Typing is time-consuming and prone to mistakes. It is often difficult to look back at past letters to see what was sent when (for example, to avoid duplication). Potentially useful information stored in letters may never be available to other systems.

Epro's letters module provides the solution. Letters are written and stored in an electronic form, and may then be output as a Microsoft Word document when required.

  • Letters are permanently stored and available to view or perform statistical reporting on, providing a complete audit trail.
  • Automatically fill letters with electronically stored data from your systems according to your own customizable specification, thereby improving speed and cutting down on typing errors in critical information.
  • Spell-checking facility outfitted with a standard medical dictionary, or alternatively with a dictionary customized with the terminology you require.
  • Automatically correct common typing errors, for example 'teh' may be replaced with 'the', aiding the typist without breaking their flow.
  • Define snippets of Auto-Text, allowing a frequently used phrase or block of text to be inserted with a single keyword.
  • Define your own standard document formats to match your existing preferred layouts.
  • Automated process for a secretary typing on someone else's behalf to send a letter for approval before it is dispatched.
  • Letters may be printed multiple times, with automatic logging, or dispatched electronically to the GP responsible for a patient.
  • Compatible with all current versions of Microsoft Word
